1. Features of Non-magnetic Filter Sub
Our Non-Magnetic Filter Subs are machined from solid forgings of high-purity austenitic stainless steel. To ensure reliable performance under high-pressure conditions, each sub is manufactured to exact API Spec 7-1 tolerances and equipped with high-strength, replaceable internal screens.
The internal profile is explicitly engineered to provide a maximum total flow area (TFA). This optimized design accommodates high pump rates and heavily weighted drilling fluids without causing severe downhole pressure drops.
2. Typical Oilfield Applications
These filter subs are typically positioned directly above sensitive MWD/LWD tools or positive displacement motors (PDM) within the drill string. They effectively capture circulating debris, drill pipe scale, and oversized lost circulation materials (LCM).
By preventing the internal plugging of delicate downhole instruments, our filter subs ensure continuous fluid circulation and drastically minimize costly Non-Productive Time (NPT) in demanding directional and horizontal wells.
