1. Features of Non-magnetic Corssover Sub
Serving as the critical linkage between mismatched BHA components, our crossover subs (sometimes called Xover sub) are machined from solid austenitic forgings. To eliminate stress concentration at the transition zones, both the internal and external diameters are engineered with optimized bevels and transition radii.
2. Field Deployment & Configurations
In complex directional strings, operators frequently encounter incompatible rotary shouldered connections—such as mating a specific drill collar to a stabilizer or a MWD housing. Our non-magnetic crossovers provide the required mechanical bridge without compromising the interference-free environment required by surveying instruments.
To accommodate any BHA string design, these subs are manufactured in three standard configurations:
- Pin x Box (P x B): The standard transition tool for connecting components with different thread sizes.
- Box x Box (B x B): Typically deployed to connect two pin-ended tools.
- Pin x Pin (P x P): Utilized to join two box-ended components.
(Optional hardbanding is available on the box end to mitigate abrasive wear in horizontal sections.)
