1. Features of Non-magnetic Compressive Drill Pipe
Our integral Non-Magnetic Heavy Weight Drill Pipe (NMHWDP), also widely known in horizontal directional applications as Compressive Service Drill Pipe (NMCSDP), is engineered from high-purity austenitic stainless steel. Designed with a specialized heavy-wall profile, these pipes effectively bridge the mechanical stiffness gap between rigid drill collars and flexible standard drill strings.
2. Typical Oilfield Applications
These pipes are specifically designed for high-angle, directional, and extended-reach horizontal wells. In these environments, standard drill pipes are highly susceptible to buckling under compressive loads. Our compressive pipes provide the necessary Weight on Bit (WOB) while operating safely in the compressive zone of the drill string.
Additionally, their non-magnetic material composition allows them to be positioned in close proximity to sensitive MWD/LWD tools, ensuring zero signal interference and maintaining precise directional control.
